Alana and Hannah have undergone special foot mobilisation (FMT) and nail bracing training. They are passionate and bring that energy into the clinic where they are known for going above and beyond what is required by a Podiatrist.
What does a Podiatrist do?
Podiatrists are experts in foot, ankle, and lower limb health, dealing not only with diagnosis and treatment, but also prevention and rehabilitation of all sorts of conditions for your sore feet including ingrown toenails, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, corns and calluses, plantar warts, biomechanical assessments, and general nail care.
Does my private health insurance cover Podiatry?
Most health insurance providers cover Podiatry. However, check with your health insurer to determine the amount of coverage provided before your appointment.
Do I need a referral to visit Sports and Structural Podiatry?
No. However, if you hold a Department of Veteran’s Affairs Card or if you require Medicare’s “Chronic Disease Management Plan” for chronic health conditions, then you will need a referral from your Doctor.
Does Medicare cover Podiatry?
Your Doctor may decide for you to have treatment under Medicare’s “Chronic Disease Management Plan”. If so, you will receive a Medicare rebate after you consult with a small out-of-pocket gap. You are advised to check with your Doctor before your appointment.
